Linda Dunn is an exceptional piano teacher for dedicated students who desire to learn piano or advance their skills. She demonstrates a combination of firmness, kindness, and extensive knowledge and experience in teaching students across all proficiency levels. Her passion and patience are evident in how she guides my child, ensuring they learn to play the piano well. After 4-5 months of consistent practice and weekly private lessons, my child has made significant progress, enhancing their technical understanding. Within a few weeks, they transitioned between beginner pieces such as “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” festive selections from a Christmas piano book, and “Old MacDonald.” We are excited about the opportunity to learn from such a remarkably talented instructor. It is clear why she’s highly regarded by families throughout Central Florida.

I am a senior citizen who has had a number of piano teachers over the past few years…since I retired at 71. They have all been very good and shared with me much about the art of playing the piano, specifically classical piano, which was one of my goals for retirement. I have learned a great deal from these teachers but, I must admit, Linda Dunn has taken my piano lessons/teaching to a whole new level. I knew or “suspected” that there were many other skills sets that I had not been taught by my previous tutors. In a very short time, sitting at her piano in her living room, she has been able to identify my numerous short comings and has begun to help me address those musical and artistic needs. It has been difficult for me to learn and relearn many things but also it has been extremely satisfying and beneficial to my personal growth as a classical pianists…or at least the very beginning of that journey. Linda is kind, highly professional, patient, and skilled at helping me grow. She asks for sincere effort by her students and, if the effort is put forth by those students, they will experience success. I am, and I’m sure other students feel the same. Ms. Linda Dunn has passion for teaching others how to play piano. She uses many different strategies to help her students learn to read the music and play with confidence. Both my boys Danyel and Adiyan have been taking Piano Lessons with Mrs. Linda Dunn for the last 7 years. We feel she is part of the family. We couldn’t be any happier with the progress they’ve made so far! Mrs. Linda is incredibly talented, professional, knowledgeable, sweet and kind. The boys absolutely adore her and look forward each week for their Piano lessons. She managed to instill in them the love for music from a very young age and can’t wait to see where she takes them!
Every Spring she puts on an incredible Piano Recital for parents, grandparents and family members. Year after year she exceeds the expectations with a variety of songs and amazing performances by her students followed by an Award Ceremony. What a delight to attend and see the kiddos shine on stage!

Ms Linda Dunn is an excellent teacher. My son who is 10 years old has been taking piano lessons for almost 30 months. Whenever he plays piano, it is very soothing to the ears that is a good example of a good teacher. I’ll definitely recommend her.
She is very punctual and at times too strict but it is all dedication and passion for teaching piano to young kids.

My daughter started to take piano lessons at Linda Dunn studio in March,2018 and in May she participated in the recitel, which was a good motivation to achieve new goals and helped her to become more confident. I’m a pretty new adult student of Linda’s, coming in with some music experience but little knowledge of piano. It was important to me to find someone who wouldn’t rigidly teach me music theory things I already knew, but could adapt and fill in the gaps for me. Turns out I have a lot of gaps (ha!) and even a few things I need to unlearn, and Linda has handled this with panache and grace.

My 8 year old son takes piano lessons from Mrs. Linda. He absolutely loves it. She is very detail oriented and serious about his progression forward during his lessons. Ms.Linda has really helped my girl gain confidence at the piano. I’ve taken classes with Ms. Linda for 4 years, and I’ve not only gained the musical skills I’ve wanted for a long time, but also gained an invaluable family member. I started at an older age than most people do, and this was one of my biggest concerns when I started. My experience with music teachers had always been negative. They were strict, I never learned much from them, and I lost interest quickly. However, from the moment I started Ms. Linda’s classes, I knew it was different. I felt incredibly comfortable around her – at ease – and I realized that this was how learning music was supposed to be – fun! Before I realized it, I regained my immense interest in music, and with Ms. Linda’s motivation and guidance throughout I saw myself improve like I never thought possible. My younger sister also took piano lessons starting at 4 years old, and she warmed up to Ms. Linda’s friendly demeanor almost instantly. She still takes lessons today, and she has learnt well over the years. My whole family adores Ms. Linda, and I couldn’t imagine not taking her classes, she is a great teacher and an amazing person.

There are simply not enough words to describe the quality of Linda Dunn’s methods for teaching piano. As of this review I’ve been taking lessons from her for little more than 3 months and even in that short amount of time I’ve made more progress and learned more music theory than I would have thought possible.
What makes Linda an incredible teacher is the way she methodically teaches you how to play piano from theory to practice. In her terms, “There are no shortcuts to learning to play,” and her methods will have you looking at sheet music and playing the keys like a real concert pianist and not like you were in a high-school music classroom.
As a 23 year old just beginning my journey into piano I must say that I couldn’t be happier with my choice in instructor, and the icing on the proverbial cake is that everyone that walks into her home is seen as family.
If you are looking for a shortcut to piano that is chords only, makes use of cute acronyms, and has you “playing songs instantly!” then maybe you should look elsewhere. If, however, you want to truly learn piano in a systematic, methodical, and thorough way like a true pianist, all while feeling like a part of the family, then Linda would be your perfect teacher.

Mrs. Dunn talks with the kid with positive and affirmative attitude and she can make piano learning fun. We had trouble to stick to any after school activities, but I can expect that learning piano from Mrs. Dunn will be one long term experience for my son.

My younger brother and I wanted to take piano lessons so I searched online to find a place. I called three places and Ms. Dunn was the only one that called me back. We have been taking lessons with her for about three months and we have learned so much. I played instruments when I was younger but my younger brother had no musical experience prior to her lessons and sometimes he plays better than I do. Ms. Dunn is very patient with her students and you can call her anytime you need help on something you may not understand. She teaches you proper technique, theory and how to actually read music. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a fun, loving, informative and patient piano teacher. I believe we will be taking lessons with her for a very long time!
